The Story Behind the Plates

Multifaceted artist Tricia Paoluccio's journey with pressed botanicals began on her family's California farm, where she discovered the art of picking and pressing flowers as a child. This early passion evolved over decades as she mastered and honed her unique style of pressed flower art, which gained recognition during the early days of the pandemic, leading to celebrated collaborations with brands like Oscar de la Renta, Steinway, Jwana Hamdan, and the Bella Rosa Collection.

In 2021, Tricia was invited to create a collection of pressed flower plates for a special wedding in Mexico. She spent the spring hand-picking and pressing hundreds of flowers, designing four color palettes that the bride requested to be blended into the final designs. After arranging and gluing the pressed floral compositions, she had them photographed professionally in San Francisco and sent to a manufacturer in France. Capturing the vibrant colors of the flowers on white porcelain proved to be more challenging than expected. Though the wedding passed, Tricia's vision for the collection endured.

After three years of collaboration and refinement with European manufacturers, the plates were perfected. Designed to feel like a piece of your own garden, they bring the wild elegance of nature to your table, perfect for any season.
